  HP 4145A and 4145B repair and software

We're your one source for HP 4145A,  4145B, 4155, and 4156 semiconductor perameter analyzer repair and software

Agilent HP 4145A Semiconductor Parameter Analyzer

S.I. repairs the venerable Hewlett Packard (now Agilent) 4145A and 4145B semiconductor parameter analyzers.  We also have the boot software available.  The 4145B units could copy their own boot 3.5" floppies, but the 4145A uses a 5.25" floppy disk that had to be factory copied.  We can supply both 3.5" and 5.25" disketts for people who have lost/damaged the originals or who bought a used machine without the boot disk.  We have several different versions available for the 4145B.  The HP part number for the 5.25" boot disk is 04145-85100 (Rev. A5). Hewlett Packard P/N 16261.

We also repair these units.  They were notorius for having display problems and failed floppy drives.  We stock refurbished display modules and floppy drives (they are proprietary Hewlett packard, so you can't just drop in a PC floppy) and can repair the originals in most cases.

We also occationally have complete refurbished units available for sale.  they are a great value for their capabilities.  The 4145A versions we sell for approximately $2350 and the 4145B versions sell for approximately $6500 (depending on options and cosmetic condition) with warranty.  Please email us for availability.

Please contact us if you need the software to run these venerable machines.  They will not work without a boot floppy.  If you are getting the error M02 (M_02) on the screen, the software is missing/damaged (or the drive has a fault) and that is as far as you will go without it.
HP Agilent 4145B Semiconductor Parameter Analyzer


For users who need the additional functionality of the more advanced Agilent 4155A/B and 4156A/B/C, we can supply these machines, but they are much more expensive (approximately $28,000.00, depending on exact model and options).  Most users, however, will find the original 4145 series adequate.

We also stock some repair parts for the 4155A/B and 4156A/B/C.  These machines also had problems with the floppy drives, which are proprietary HP/Agilent.
